Online Backup – Power and Cooling
Reliable power supplies and cooling are essential to the continuous operation of our online backup service that is expected by our customers. Online Crypt has a sophisticated power distribution system for resilience whereby multiple mains electricity feeds are supported by UPS (uninterruptible power supply) systems and back-up generators. Power and cooling resilience is provided from N+1. All of Online Crypt’s power back-up systems are individually maintained and checked on a routine basis.
Online Backup – Security
Security of your data is paramount to us. We recognise the value of your backed up data, both in terms of business continuity and maintaining your services to your customers.
The highest level of building security is provided 24/7 by trained security and operations staff, CCTV with digital data storage space, electronic access management as well as advanced proximity access control system. The online backup servers themselves are on a secure floor with no public access.
Security staff monitor all access to Online Crypt sites and historical data is recorded and audit trails can be provided upon request.
